Domestic dispute turns deadly

HAMILTON, Ala. — Taylor Dudley Stewart, 26, was fatally shot by her husband, authorities believe. The couple’s nearly 2-year-old daughter was seriously injured.

A 15-hour manhunt ended with the arrest of Tristen Amani Stewart, 25, charged with capital murder. The incident occurred Aug. 15, 2025 at a residence in Hamilton, Alabama.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported that Tristen Stewart allegedly shot his wife multiple times, resulting in her death, and critically injured their toddler daughter, who was taken to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.

Kenneth Stewart, 69, Tristen’s father, was also arrested and charged with aiding and abetting capital murder and obstructing governmental operations.

Marry whomever you will. But common sense is in order. Being wed to a person of a different race adds a layer of complexity to the relationship. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they are deadly.
