EVERMAN, Texas — A North Texas man died after he was shot multiple times in the street outside his family’s home just after 6 a.m. Wednesday in what police described as an isolated domestic dispute.
Seth “Tony” Tatum had stepped outside with his older sister as they prepared to leave for work when her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend, Elijah Mitchell, appeared in the street and began yelling at her. Tatum told Mitchell to leave. As the situation escalated, the sister walked back toward the house and called 911 to report the disturbance. While she was on the phone giving dispatchers information, gunfire erupted.
Tatum was struck by several bullets and collapsed in the roadway. His younger brother, James Tatum III, rushed to his side, held his head, urged him to keep breathing, and stayed with him until first responders arrived. Officers reached the scene within minutes, found Tatum suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police arrested Mitchell several blocks away and recovered a handgun they believe he discarded while fleeing. Authorities have charged him with murder in connection with the shooting. They described the incident as stemming from a prior domestic relationship and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Family members said Tatum had intervened to protect his sister during the confrontation. He had been expecting a baby daughter in the coming weeks.
The shooting was partially captured on the 911 recording as dispatchers listened to the caller.
Tarrant County authorities continue to investigate.

If his sister hadn’t committed race treason the primitive savage she chose to associate with would never be in her family’s lives and her brother would never have gotten into a dispute with that savage ex-boyfriend. Yes the savage is responsible for his actions and should be whipped down to the bone and lynched, but his sister bares the responsibility of bringing that evolutionarily inferior primitive savage into her family’s lives.
