3 little ones killed; 3 black males arrested
Always the weakest
From the deep South to the Midwest, episodes of impulsive, aggressive, and/or violent behavior were documented as black males allegedly took the lives of three helpless white children left in their care.
Summary: Paisley Brown, a 3-year-old toddler from Citra, Florida, was discovered lifeless on February 19, 2026, after enduring severe mistreatment at home. Authorities allege that Jeroen Jarrel Coombs, 32, the partner of her mother, bound her limbs with rope and tape before dropping and hitting her multiple times, causing deadly injuries. A young witness in the residence described ongoing abuse, reports say.
In a separate tragedy, Harlow, a 3-year-old girl in Delta Township, Michigan, perished on February 13, 2026, during a family stroll when Alexander Lamar Banks Jr., 21, reportedly rammed his car into them and opened fire. The assault also wounded her parents and a helpful elderly bystander, with Banks facing murder and assault accusations linked to perceived digital threats. Locals gathered for memorials, reports say.
On July 17, 2018 Levi Cole Ellerbe, a 6-month-old infant, died from severe burns after being set ablaze in Natchitoches, Louisiana. His mother, Hanna Nicole Barker, aged 22, and her girlfriend, Felicia Marie-Nicole Smith, 25, orchestrated the attack, with Smith dousing the baby in gasoline and igniting him. Barker falsely claimed an abduction. Smith received an 80-year sentence, while Barker got 30 years in 2022, reports say.

WASHINGTON (DailyKenn.com) — In a span of weeks, three young children across the United States have lost their lives in separate cases authorities attribute to deliberate harm, prompting calls for heightened awareness and intervention in child protection efforts.
The latest incident occurred on February 19 in Citra, Florida, where 3-year-old Paisley Brown was found unresponsive at a home on NE 44th Avenue. Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of severe injuries, and the child was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Investigators say Jeroen Jarrel Coombs, 32, the boyfriend of Brown’s mother, admitted to restraining the toddler by tying her hands with rope and taping her legs to prevent her from accessing her diaper. He then allegedly dropped her and struck her repeatedly, leading to fatal trauma. Coombs faces charges of aggravated child abuse, with authorities indicating additional counts may follow as the investigation continues. A juvenile present in the home recounted hearing the assaults and described prior instances of mistreatment. Community members, including local residents and family acquaintances, have rallied in protests outside the sheriff’s office, urging swift accountability and questioning why warning signs may have gone unheeded. “This tragedy hits close to home,” said one demonstrator, reflecting widespread grief in the rural area.
Just days earlier, on February 13 in Delta Township, Michigan, a family evening walk turned deadly when 21-year-old Alexander Lamar Banks Jr. allegedly drove his vehicle into a group, then exited and fired multiple shots. The attack claimed the life of 3-year-old Harlow, who was riding in a pink wagon, and left her parents—a 33-year-old woman and 37-year-old man—in stable condition after hospitalization. A 72-year-old neighbor who intervened to assist the victims sustained critical injuries and remains under care. Eaton County prosecutors have charged Banks with first-degree premeditated murder, three counts of assault with intent to murder, and related firearm offenses, citing his claims of online threats as a motive, though details remain under review. Neighbors held a candlelight vigil at the scene, sharing stories of the family’s warmth and decrying the random violence that shattered their quiet subdivision.
The case began on the evening of July 17, 2018, when Hanna Nicole Barker, then 22, contacted police to report an abduction at her trailer park home. She claimed unknown intruders sprayed her with a chemical agent and fled with her son, Levi Cole Ellerbe. Emergency responders soon received another alert from a passing driver who spotted flames in a roadside ditch roughly a mile away, near railroad tracks off Breda Avenue. Firefighters discovered the infant amid the blaze, with severe second- and third-degree injuries covering about 90% of his tiny body. Medical personnel airlifted him to a hospital in Shreveport, where doctors pronounced him dead early the next morning, July 18.
Investigators from the Natchitoches Police Department and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office quickly unraveled Barker's account. According to arrest affidavits and court testimony, evidence pointed to a premeditated plot. Prosecutors alleged Barker instructed her girlfriend, Felicia Marie-Nicole Smith, to dispose of the child. Smith, 25 at the time, reportedly doused Levi with gasoline and ignited him, causing the fatal wounds.
Smith was taken into custody on July 21, facing an initial first-degree murder charge. Barker followed on July 25, booked as a principal to the crime. A grand jury indicted both in August 2018, with charges upgraded to include conspiracy. District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington's office sought capital punishment for Barker in 2019, citing the brutality against a helpless victim under 12 years old.
These cases, while unrelated, underscore ongoing challenges in preventing harm to vulnerable children, experts say. Child welfare advocates have renewed pushes for community education and stronger support systems, as investigations proceed in each jurisdiction.

Florida still has the death penalty, its last execution on Feb. 10, 2026. Michigan's last execution was in 1938, Maine's in 1885.
It's good to see that Florida still puts the welfare of its populace over its criminals.
Bring them to me. I have a woodchipper, slow 1st gear and will send them to hell via a nice loud, red vapor trail, food for the worms.
Oh and especially the black female that burned a white baby alive. For her she gets a 6hr sterno coating start then slow ground BBQ worm food.
