Black-on-black homicides: Blacks are literally their own worst enemies

For decades, however, homicide rates within black communities in the United States have been significantly elevated.

A 1997 Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) study found that homicide rates among black individuals were eight times higher than those among white individuals [source pdf].

Additionally, black individuals accounted for 51% of murder victims despite making up approximately 12% of the population.

These findings align with a more recent report. The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) noted that in 2017, 53.5% of the 9,468 murder arrests in the US involved black individuals [source].

In 2018, statistics showed a similar pattern, with 53.3% of murder offenders in the United States identified as black (or African American) [source].

The woke left often attributes the persistent high homicide rates to intergenerational trauma which refers to the transmission of traumatic experiences across generations, affecting the psychological and emotional well-being of descendants.

According to woke left viewpoints, black individuals may be responding to historical injustices faced by their ancestors, dating back to 1619 in the United States. These injustices include slavery, lash laws, Jim Crow laws, and whites wearing weaves.

Intergenerational trauma, also known as transgenerational trauma, is a recognized phenomenon. However, some argue that the woke left exploits vulnerable individuals by attributing all their challenges directly to historical and on-going white-on-black racism.

However, black individuals cause more harm to each other at a rate that exceeds any harm, real or imagined, inflicted upon them by whites. Blacks are their own worst enemies.

Elevated crime rates among black individuals are not exclusive to the United States but are also observed in the United Kingdom. A report from DailyKenn.com suggests that federalizing Washington, D.C., could be a potential solution, though it does not address the underlying causes.

In the UK, black individuals are arrested at a rate of 20.4 per 1,000 population, compared to 9.4 per 1,000 for white individuals. According to the 2021 Census, approximately 4.2% of the population in England and Wales identified as black, Black British, Caribbean, or African, while 81.7% identified as white, underscoring a notable disparity in arrest rates between these groups.

While contrary to modern Marxist perspectives, a more plausible explanation for the higher crime rates among black individuals compared to other ethnic and racial groups may lie in genetic factors.

However, to acknowledge that proverbial elephant in the room is to invite stigmatization, or what the left calls 'stereotyping'—essentially labeling one a 'racist'.

It also removes blacks from viable solutions to black-on-black crime. And that’s how the woke left wants it. The woke left, then, are the true anti-black racists as they willfully exploit black homicides as political capital.
